Not a hosted platform. There is no dashboard login, no SaaS, no vendor servers between you and your page. That is the feature — and also the limit: publishing an incident means exporting JSON and redeploying, which takes a couple of minutes, not seconds.
No subscriber emails, no SMS or Slack alerting center. The kit reports status publicly; it does not run a notification pipeline. For your own alerting, the check script's --fail-on-down exit code wires into cron mail or CI in one line — that is alerting enough for most small teams, and we would rather say that than sell you a fake alert center.
Checks are honest, not magic. They run from one vantage point (wherever the script runs), HTTP checks do not execute JavaScript, and the bars are as good as your check frequency — a 15-minute cron gives honest daily percentages. SETUP.md documents all of this up front.

Uptime Kuma is excellent and free — if you enjoy running a server, container and database, use it.
